2017. Moscow

The contemporary ballet «A shout for silence. The Tao Te Ching» by choreographer Olga Tsvetkova and composer Anton Svetlichny is a synthesis of choreography, performance, live and electronic music. The production is performed by a dancer, a team of Russian and European performers and a chamber orchestra. The project was commissioned by the Mutabor club.

The title of the ballet refers to The Tao Te Ching, the most famous and most influential monument of Eastern philosophy on the harmony of the universe. The Tao's leitmotifs served as a semantic framework for the production about the inseparable and harmonious coexistence of elements alien to each other. "A shout for silence. The Tao Te Ching" is an experience of inner vision, an attempt not by logic and rationality, but by intuition to connect to the world as a whole, to return to the beginning - the absence of words and connection with existence.

Weekend theatere (The Village)

We began with this, we end with this - a moment of silence.

In an indescribable state of total peace.

In the midst of omnipresent motion.

To describe the world as a whole.

To clear the inner vision.

To put on the image of the primordial.

Something that cannot be named

That which precedes everything, abides in continuous rotation.

Unshaped, something perfect, serene, empty, singular.

Eternal movement from self to self.

A way of living in unity with the ultimate.

Beyond time, at the very center of your being.

Quiescent point
